Q: How many days do you typically see partial ferning before it is full ferning?

A: 3-4 days before full ferning.

 

Q: Is it better to lick it or dab saliva from your finger?

A: Use your finger to collect and put saliva on the lens. To avoid bubbles, take saliva under your tongue.

 

Q: How do you replace the battery? 

A: Guidelines for replacing the batteries are in the Instruction included in the package. If you want, you can also watch the video below

 

 

Q: Should I use a dab of water to clean the microscope?

A: Using an enclosed cloth is the best. Water can get inside the lens and damage it. You can use a wet cloth (with water).

 

Q: How do you turn the light on? 

A: The light automatically turns on once you take the top off (and the red plastic ring). Watch this video for further Instructions:

 

Q: Is it normal that part of the saliva sample shows ferning off to the side but that the center of the sample is only dotted?

A: Yes, at the beginning of the ovulation cycle. If you are using the App, click on one of the images to input the results into your calendar. Press "Save" after you have chosen your inputs. Your "Today result" will be stored and shown in Calendar Section.

 

Q: How do you get the air bubbles out of your saliva on the lens surface?

A: You can do it by gently using your finger. 

 

Q: How many days before ovulation does this product show fertility?

A: 3-4 days before ovulation.

 

Q: Is the light supposed to turn off?

A: The microscope light will turn OFF automatically only when you put the cover on it.

Q: How does the lifetime warranty work for KNOWHEN®?

The company gives a warranty against manufacturing defects. The whole process for exchange is explained in the Instruction in the box and in this section: . Batteries are excluded from the warranty (you also get new batteries in the Kit). Receipt (copy) of the purchase should be presented for KNOWHEN® exchange. 

 

Q: I need help getting the light to turn on. I took the little red ring and the plastic off to the batteries, but still no luck. Any thoughts?

A: It looks like you will need to replace the batteries. Please watch the video. Use the extra two batteries, which you received together with your Kit.
